Mara was invited to speak at a Post Performance Talk Back at The Cherry Lane Theater for the new play, HOW WE LOVE/F*CK a documentary-style play, based on real interviews with 28 women, celebrating female sexuality.

Mara was interviewed for the play, and was built into the piece as a character.

The Talk-Back also featured

*Barbara Carrellas, Sex/Life Coach and author of Urban Tantra: Sacred Sex for the Twenty-First Century;
*Bryan Stacy and Dominick Quartuccio, sexual health advocates who co-founded “Do Inner Work” and “The Discerning Dick” a monthly live event series about sexual wisdom for the modern man.

Mara wrote a featured article for WAIF Magazine's One-Year Anniversary Issue!

Her article, The Monster’s Monster, examines how our sexual drives respond to what we have defined as grotesque as a way of survival.

In much of her work, Mara seeks to unravel taboos, exploring the lines between beauty and the grotesque with a compassionate eye.
