I began this new year with a beautiful ceremony of releasing old negative beliefs and writing down the new beliefs I want to see realized in myself this year. This ceremony was held in a large group at my spiritual center of prayer and meditation. Hundreds of us, altogether, actively releasing and inviting in. It felt very quietly powerful. I invited my dear friend to be next to me at this ceremony. She has sat next to me before during times of transformation and has been a steady, strong presence of love in my life.

After returning home, I fell asleep and dreamed of being handed a plant called a “White Dragon.” The plant I dreamed of doesn’t appear to exist in the waking world (according to my Google search), but it was a gorgeous green plant resembling a sea dragon, with intricate white petals resembling the dragon’s wings. I said to the plant, “Look at you! You are beautiful! Oh my goodness!” I was in awe of this stunning, tiny plant in my hand.

White represents purity and new beginnings. Plants, I have read, represent growth and progressive change in ourselves when we dream of them. I had written down that I wanted to invite being inside Pure Potentiality and Pure Creativity in this new year for myself. I believe I have received the message to relax, be still, and let my own magnificence unfold as the White Dragon I created for myself in my dream. These things are already in me. I must simply allow my faith to do it’s magical thing! And so too, I believe we all have White Dragons inside of us. There is one inside of you! Perhaps, if you look in the mirror and say, “Look at you! You are beautiful! Oh my goodness!”, your dragon might appear to you in its own special way.
